• Visual check of fireplaces, hearths, and surrounds for cleanliness and safe condition.       
• Ground‑level inspection of chimney stacks, cowls, and pots.       
• Notes on visible damage, loose components, or signs a sweep may be due.       
• Check for nests, blockages, or debris where visible.        

• Inspection for droppings, damage, smells, insect activity, harbourage or entry points.       
• Early‑warning identification of potential pest issues.        

• Ground‑level visual check of walls, roof, guttering, and external structure.     
• Identification of damage, deterioration, or areas needing attention.       
• Signs of water ingress checked around key areas.
